About
Me
Susan Plested
DHP, MAPHP, DPsD
I trained at the EICH (Essex Institute of Clinical Hypnosis) with principal Terence Watts where I received a comprehensive teaching in hypnotherapy/ hypnoanalysis. Part of this training was to go through hypnoanalysis myself, so I am sympathetic to my clients worries about their situation and about hypnosis.
I offer professional, caring, and totally confidential help with habits, stress, anxiety and most mind-related matters.
I am a member of the Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (APHP) which is an International organisation for only competent and properly trained therapists. This association has a stringent code of ethical behaviour and insists on continual professional development so you may be assured that you will receive only a safe and modern therapy that is relevant to your particular needs.
You can find out more about APHP on their website at www.aphp.net
I believe that everyone is entitled to a worry free existence and if with hypnosis, myself and the client can achieve this, then I will have done my job properly.
After I qualified I have continued to study and learn more about the fascinating subject of hypnosis, therapy and helping others.I have completed a course in Archetypal Parts therapy and one in Advanced Analytical Hypno-psychotherapy taught by Terence Watts (Principal of EICH and chairman of the APHP)

Even before becoming a hypnotherapist, I have always worked closely with people, and enjoy the rich and varied differences in them, I like getting to know people and reassuring them that life can be fulfilling.
I understand that people worry about consulting a therapist and have pre-conceived ideas about hypnosis, which is why I offer a free, no obligation, initial consultation to discuss anything troubling them which is mind related.
If you wish to discuss anything or book an initial consultation you can e-mail me at,
sp@susanplested.com
Or telephone me on,
01268 565968
When I am working, dealing with a client, or otherwise unavailable, the telephone will be answered by an answering machine. It is safe to leave a message, since nobody other than myself will listen to it. If you find this difficult, just leave your name and telephone number and I will call you back as soon as I can. This is almost always the same day.
I live in Benfleet but work from the Essex Institute of Clinical Hypnosis in Clarence Road, Southend on Sea.
I am also one of the first people in the country to be a trained "Symbiodynamics" (TM) Practitioner.
